“Do you offer liquid BBLs?”
The short answer is we offer nonsurgical volume-enhancement options that may be used for body contouring, including alloClae®. But “liquid BBL” is an informal term, and it’s important to understand what the treatment actually involves, and how it differs from a traditional Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
We also offer LipoDerm for smaller-volume enhancement, which we generally consider more appropriate for targeted areas such as the face.
What Is a “Liquid BBL”?
A traditional BBL uses your own fat. Fat is removed through liposuction, processed, and then transferred into the buttocks to improve shape and volume.
A treatment sometimes referred to online as a “liquid BBL” takes a different approach. Instead of performing liposuction to harvest your own fat, an injectable product or tissue is used to strategically add volume and improve contour.
At New Body Aesthetics , alloClae® can provide an option for patients interested in targeted body contouring without harvesting their own fat.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, it may be considered for areas such as the buttocks, hip dips, breast contours or certain contour irregularities.
What Is alloClae®?
alloClae® is a structural adipose tissue product made from donated human adipose tissue. It is intended for placement in areas where fat naturally exists to provide cushioning, support and volume.
Unlike a traditional fat transfer, alloClae® doesn't require us to first perform liposuction to obtain fat from your body.
This can be best for patients who:
Want targeted enhancement of the hips or buttocks
Want to soften the appearance of hip dips
Want additional volume but have limited donor fat
Have a specific contour irregularity they would like addressed
Don't necessarily want liposuction just to obtain fat for transfer
Because body contouring generally requires substantially more volume than facial enhancement, alloClae® is the option we typically associate with larger-volume treatments at New Body Aesthetics.
How Much Does an alloClae® Cost?
The amount of alloClae® required varies significantly from patient to patient. Someone looking for subtle improvement of a hip dip may need a very different amount than someone seeking more noticeable buttock enhancement.
Our current starting estimates are:
12.5 cc — approximately $2,500
25 cc — approximately $4,000
50 cc — approximately $6,000
An additional operating room/procedure fee applies and is not included in these starting prices.
Your final treatment plan and price depend on the area being treated, the amount of volume needed and the type of correction or enhancement you're trying to achieve.
How Much Is 10 cc?
This is where volume can be a little deceiving.
10 cc = 10 mL = approximately 2 teaspoons.
That visual is important when discussing a liquid BBL because larger areas of the body can require significantly more volume than small facial areas.
A patient wanting subtle correction of a small hip dip, for example, may have completely different volume requirements than someone hoping for a significant increase in overall buttock size.
Can alloClae® Replace a Traditional BBL?
Not necessarily, and this is one of the most important distinctions.
A traditional BBL can involve transferring substantially larger quantities of a patient's own fat after liposuction. It can also change the surrounding contour because fat is being removed from areas such as the abdomen, waist, back or flanks before being transferred.
alloClae® is different. It allows for targeted volume placement without first harvesting your own fat.
For someone seeking smaller, strategic contour changes, that difference may be appealing. Someone seeking a substantial change in overall body shape may be better suited to a different approach.
That's why we don't treat “liquid BBL” and traditional BBL as interchangeable procedures.
What About LipoDerma?
LipoDerma fits into a different part of our volume-restoration options.
At New Body Aesthetics, we generally consider LipoDerma for smaller-volume, more precise treatments, particularly facial volume restoration, rather than larger body-contouring treatments.
Our current starting pricing is:
1.5 cc — starting at $550
10 cc — starting at $2,500
Think about the difference in scale: a few cc can make a meaningful difference when strategically placed in the face, while contouring the hips or buttocks can require much more volume.
That is one reason we may discuss LipoDerma for facial volume and alloClae® for larger body-contouring applications.
LipoDerma vs. alloClae®: What's the Difference?
The easiest way to think about the two at New Body Aesthetics is:
LipoDerma - smaller, precise volume enhancement, particularly for the face
alloClae® - larger-volume body contouring, including areas such as the hips and buttocks
The right choice isn't based solely on price or the number of cc. Treatment area, anatomy, existing volume and your desired degree of change all matter.
Do I Need Enough Body Fat for a Liquid BBL?
This is one of the biggest reasons patients ask about these treatments.
With a traditional BBL, you need enough appropriate donor fat to harvest through liposuction.
Because alloClae® uses donated human adipose tissue rather than harvesting your own fat, your available donor fat isn't the source of the treatment volume.
That creates another potential option for patients who want targeted contour enhancement but may not have enough donor fat, or don't want the fat-harvesting portion of traditional fat transfer.
